NTR celebrates a decade of film career

It’s a big day for Jr.NTR. The actor has completed 10 years of experience in his film career as a hero. Speaking regarding this, NTR says, “I am happy that I have completed 10 years as star. It has been an eventful decade and I owe all my success to the fans. Started 2000 Nov 16 with Ninnu Choodalani. A very emotional 10year journey..God has been very kind..Thanks to all of them who have loved and blessed me in this journey so far..”
On behalf of completion of a successful decade, let’s take a glance on NTR’s up’s and down’s in film career
It is not Ninnu Choodalani, but he debuted to Tollywood as a child artist withBrahmarshi Vishwamitra and Bala Ramayanam. Gunasekhar showcased the actor as Lord Rama in Bala Ramayanam. NTR was apt to the role and made us rethink of Late NTR in Rama’s role.
Following Late NTR’s legacy, Jr.NTR debuted in Tollywood with the film, Ninnu Choodalani which has hit the screens in the year 2001. However, the film did not farewell at the B-O and many of the Nandamuri fans too were depressed, while few opined that he was too plump to be called as a hero.
However, it was Rajamouli’s debut directorial, Student No:1 that helped him in his film’s career. The audience started recognizing his dance and acting skills with this film and Student No1 gave him enough confidence to fight in the industry as a hero. His next flick‘Subbu’ was a dud at the box-office since the script did not have enough substance. It was again ‘Aadi’ under the direction of debutant, VV.Vinayak which made the duo reach the peaks. NTR has created his place and brand in Tollywood with Aadi film. It was a good break for his career. The critics who stated him plump started admiring his emotionality in acting.
Later his ‘Allari Ramudu’ and ‘Naga’ pulled his career graph down again though he has enough acting power. Jr.NTR bounced back with ‘Simhadri’ again under Rajamouli’s direction which broke all the Telugu Film Industry records at that point of time and created a milestone in NTR’s career. ‘Simhadri’ is one film that brought him massive mass image.
His later years went professionally dull with flops such as Andhrawala, Naa Alludu, Narasimhudu and Ashok. Only Samba and Rakhi remained average films while the other four were disasters. Critics claimed that NTR is not choosing right scripts for his career and also is putting on weight.
At this point, NTR is back with a bang with Rajamouli’s ‘Yamadonga’. Rajamouli and NTR’s pair proved to be strong with this socio-fantacy flick. NTR has taken special care in reducing his weight and looked slim in the movie. Yamadonga remained an average film, but one can’t stop admiring NTR’s ease in dialogue delivery as Yama in the film. NTR arrests the audience with attention through his clean steps and dialogues.
Apart from his magnificent acting skills, the actor also turned a play-back singer for films, Yamadonga (Olammi Thikkaregindha), Kantri (123 nenoka Kantri ) and Adhurs (Chary).
NTR has been consistently delivering hits these days. His last couple of films Adhurs andBrindavanam has lead to success. He played a dual role in Adhurs, His role titled Chary in the movie proved him as a good actor and not just a star. Not just mass flicks, but NTR proved his mettle in the role of a lover boy and earned a classy image too. Thus NTR has managed with very high peaks as well as down’s in these 10 years.
The Telugu Film Industry will never forget the late legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao and the services he rendered to the film industry. Following his legacy many of young heroes from Nandamuri clan made their entry in Tollywood. To be frank, the Telugu film industry these days is very clannish. The new generation is taking acting as a family tradition. However, one has to remember though the clan helps as a platform initially it is ultimately the talent which helps you in success. NTR surely is one such actor who proved his mettle in the industry.
congratulates and wishes NTR another wonderful decade in Tollywood film industry.
